In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict industry standards for safety, durability, and appearance. Your expertise in industrial painting techniques, surface preparation, and material handling will contribute to the production of top-tier aerospace products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and quality are paramount. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces of aerospace components through cleaning, sanding, and surface treatment to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply coatings using various techniques including airless paint spraying, powder coating, and auto body repair methods with precision and consistency. Operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, and machining equipment safely to facilitate surface preparation and finishing tasks. Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols such as respirators, respirator masks, and other respiratory protections during all painting processes. Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces to meet exact color matching and quality standards in accordance with industry specifications. Handle materials efficiently within warehouse environments, ensuring proper storage and movement of paints, primers, powders, and related supplies. Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, welding, and machining teams to coordinate surface preparation and finishing activities aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Other duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience in industrial or aerospace painting environments with knowledge of aerospace surface preparation techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to aerospace components. Strong understanding of quality standards in production along with materials handling skills within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Commitment to safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators and adherence to respiratory protection guidelines. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential in coating applications. Experience with visual color comparison tools and surface inspection techniques to ensure flawless finishes.
