Responsibilities Prepare the vehicle surface for paint by removing rust and other debris. Able to fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface. Responsible to mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination and overspray. Mix paints for proper color matching and similar application technique by use of paint sprayers and brushes. Skilled at determining the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat; while checking for runs or sags in the paint to ensure quality. Responsible to communicate all repair order issues and estimated repair times via ASR to keep all pertinent parties up to date on vehicle repairs. Requirements Prior experience as a body shop painter or body shop apprentice/helper.
