NACE/AMPP
certification is preferred, or equivalent extensive formal training and demonstrated knowledge in industrial coating applications and inspection. This position is responsible for overseeing all on-site operations, coordinating field crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with client specifications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in industrial coatings, construction field management, and crew supervision. This individual will serve as a key leader in the field, working closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to drive project success from mobilization through completion. Responsibilities Supervise daily field operations on industrial construction and coating projects, including crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and workflow. Provide strong field leadership while maintaining a safe, productive, and professional work environment. Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, coating specifications, blueprints, and project documents to ensure accurate execution. Coordinate project schedules and manpower requirements using construction management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and other applicable platforms. Oversee industrial coating operations, including surface preparation, abrasive blasting, application, curing, inspection, and final completion. Ensure coating systems are applied in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, industry standards, and client expectations. Monitor environmental conditions, surface preparation, coating thickness, curing requirements, and other critical quality-control parameters. Maintain and enforce quality-control procedures throughout all phases of coating operations. Conduct and document field inspections, including the use of inspection equipment such as ohmmeters and other electrical or coating inspection instruments as required. Enforce OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety requirements . Identify potential safety, quality, scheduling, and production issues and take corrective action promptly. Coordinate with Project Managers to review contracts, technical documents, change orders, schedules, and project progress. Utilize construction management platforms and software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Prolog, Primavera P6, HeavyBid , and other applicable systems. Track labor, equipment, materials, production, and project costs to support budget and schedule objectives. Assist with procurement, material planning, subcontractor coordination, and equipment requirements. Lead daily and weekly field meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and coordination meetings. Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Resolve field issues efficiently while maintaining positive relationships and protecting project objectives. Maintain accurate daily reports, safety documentation, inspection records, production reports, change orders, and progress documentation. Monitor project milestones and ensure work is completed in accordance with established schedules and contractual requirements. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction, with significant hands-on experience in industrial coatings. Extensive knowledge of industrial coating systems, surface preparation, abrasive blasting, coating application, inspection, and quality-control requirements.

Strong understanding of coating specifications, manufacturer requirements, environmental conditions, surface cleanliness, profile, dry film thickness, and related coating inspection practices. Proven experience supervising crews and subcontractors on large-scale industrial projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and activities in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, coating specifications, technical documents, and project contracts. Experience with industrial infrastructure, pipelines, tanks, structural steel, facilities, or other industrial coating applications is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and industrial construction safety practices . Proven experience managing project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and field productivity. Experience utilizing construction management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid , or similar platforms. Experience with project budgets, cost tracking, procurement, change orders, and subcontractor management. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to clearly communicate expectations and hold crews and subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, and production. Ability to work independently, make sound field decisions, and effectively coordinate with project management and client representatives. Willingness to travel and work at industrial project locations as required. Preferred Qualifications

Coating Inspector certification or equivalent coating inspection training. Additional formal training in industrial coatings, corrosion control, surface preparation, or coating inspection. Experience with pipeline, tank, structural steel, power generation, water/wastewater, energy, or other heavy industrial coating projects. Familiarity with
SSPC/AMPP
standards and industry-recognized coating practices. OSHA safety training or additional construction safety certifications. Experience working directly with third-party inspectors, owners, engineers, and client representatives.
