Job Description

GL staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter with sandblasting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience coating large steel products such as pumps, bridges, water tanks, piping, or aircraft components. Monday - Friday from 7am until 3:30pm Permanent Position Payrate $24 per hour Background check and Drug test are required Responsibilities Prepare, blast, and paint pumps and pump-related equipment according to specifications, drawings, and work orders. Apply industrial coatings using HVLP and airless spray equipment . Inspect finished products using a mil gauge to ensure coating quality. Perform quality inspections and maintain production records. Maintain paint booth and blasting equipment in safe working condition. Follow all safety procedures, ISO standards, and company policies. Work efficiently to meet production deadlines. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of industrial painting experience on large steel products (pumps, bridges, tanks, piping, or aircraft). Required sandblasting experience. Experience with HVLP and airless spray equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience using a mil gauge. Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices. Good communication and basic math skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Holiday Testing experience is a plus. SSPC Certification is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to wear a respirator and all required personal protective equipment. Position is physically demanding.
