SANDBLASTER/PAINTER/WELDER HELPER JOB SUMMARY

Surface Preparation Masking and protecting areas not meant to be blasted or painted. Loading and unloading abrasive materials for sandblasting. Operating sandblasting equipment under to remove old paint, rust, or other contaminants. Inspecting surfaces after blasting for proper cleaning. Painting Assistance Preparing paint mixtures and ensuring proper viscosity. Applying primer and paint coatings using spray guns. Cleaning up overspray and maintaining paint booths. Welding Support Assisting in setting up welding equipment. Positioning and clamping work pieces for welding. Grinding and cleaning welds as needed. Maintaining a clean work area around the welding station.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Physical ability: Able to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods.

Basic mechanical aptitude:

Understanding of hand tools and power tools.

Safety awareness:

Familiarity with safety procedures related to hazardous materials, compressed air, and welding.

Attention to detail:

Ability to follow instructions and ensure quality work.

Teamwork:

Willingness to collaborate with other workers to complete projects efficiently.

Important considerations:
