Boat Painter / Automotive Painter GTO Performance Airboats GTO Performance Airboats is hiring an experienced painter to join our production team. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of professional spray painting experience in automotive, marine, collision, custom paint, trailers, motorcycles, or similar work . This position is not for house painters or cabinet painters . Applicants must have experience with professional spray equipment, surface prep, primer, paint, clear coat, and finish work. Job Responsibilities Prep boats, parts, and surfaces for paint Sand, mask, clean, prime, and prepare surfaces properly Spray primer, paint, clear coat, and finishes Perform touch-ups, wet sanding, buffing, and refinishing as needed Mix and match paint when required Inspect finished work for quality and consistency Maintain a clean and safe paint area Work with the production team to keep boat builds moving on schedule Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional spray painting experience Automotive, marine, collision, custom paint, trailer, or motorcycle painting experience preferred Experience with spray guns and paint equipment Strong knowledge of prep, masking, spraying, and finishing Good attention to detail Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment Must be able to pass a drug test Must be able to pass a background check Preferred Skills Automotive body shop or collision paint experience Marine or boat painting experience Clear coat, gel coat, wet sanding, and buffing experience Ability to produce clean, professional finishes What We Offer Full-time position Competitive pay based on experience Steady work with a growing boat company Opportunity to work on custom airboats and marine products
