Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Paint Shop Assistant/Helper to support our manufacturing and fabrication operations. This role involves assisting with various painting, material handling, and fabrication tasks within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Duties Assist with surface preparation and application of industrial and auto body paint using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools Support fabrication activities including cutting, welding, assembly, and use of power tools Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products Use precision measuring instruments for quality control and assembly accuracy Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint shop area to ensure safety and efficiency Assist with machining, fabrication, and assembly tasks as needed Support auto painting projects, including preparation, masking, and finishing touches Follow safety protocols related to industrial painting, welding, machining, and materials handling Skills Experience with forklift operation, crane operation, or warehouse experience preferred Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, or auto body repair Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems Knowledge of materials handling techniques in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with fabrication processes including cutting, welding, assembly, and use of precision measuring instruments Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication or assembly tasks Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and safety in the workplace Ability to work with industrial painting techniques including auto painting and construction painting Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality control This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in manufacturing, fabrication, or auto body work to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
