Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented, EXPERIENCED Paint Prepper and Painter to join our dynamic automotive restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, applying high-quality paint coatings, and ensuring each vehicle meets our rigorous standards for finish and durability. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and sanders to smooth surfaces and remove old paint or imperfections Apply automotive paints, coatings, and spray guns using conventional spraying methods or airless paint sprayers for efficient coverage Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and surface refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition Conduct buffing and polishing using automotive buffing machines to achieve a flawless shine and smooth surface finish Follow safety protocols by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and maintaining a clean work environment during surface preparation and painting processes Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as detailing, heavy lifting, and minor mechanical repairs as needed to support overall vehicle restoration Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong background in auto body repair and auto painting techniques Proficiency with welding, grinding, sanding, and the use of hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and repairs Knowledge of automotive surface preparation including masking, sanding, priming, and finishing processes Skilled in the operation of spray guns (conventional and airless), buffing machines, grinders, and other relevant equipment Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, auto restoration processes, and vehicle maintenance procedures Ability to work efficiently with respiratory protection gear while maintaining high safety standards Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality workmanship; capable of heavy lifting when required Mechanical knowledge related to auto body refinishing, auto painting techniques, and the use of paints and coatings Join our team if you're passionate about automotive craftsmanship!
