Job Description

Company General Responsibilities This person is responsible for spraying liquid coating parts and assemblies for processing in our paint booth. This person's ability to be reliable, work safely and complete the day's work with attention to quality are critical to achieving success in this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare metal parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and hanging components. Mix paints and coatings according to specifications. Apply primers, paints, and finishes using spray equipment and other application methods. Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, color consistency, and defects. Maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and work area in a clean and safe condition. Parts Masking/plugging Maintain a clean and organized workspace Comply with health and safety regulations, the company handbook, quality standards, and all other company policies and procedures Needed Skills & Qualifications are: Preferred prior experience of industrial spray painting experience Strong attention to detail is critical and essential Takes pride in their work and owns mistakes Ability to adapt to new and changing work environments Must be motivated self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks Flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained Work toward continuous improvement
Physical Requirements:
Must wear PPE (personal protective equipment) required for the position: a full or half face respirator always while in the paint booth Move and walk within non-climate controlled manufacturing environments without assistance or restriction. Stand for up to 8 hrs a day Bend, stoop, lean, twist, squat alternately, continuously throughout the day. Unrestricted and full range of whole-body movements and manual dexterity to move, lift, and grasp products. Visual acuity to assure quality and accuracy. Write by hand. Communicate by speech and hearing continuously.
Job Conditions:
General manufacturing environment. Work area may be subject to undesirable temperatures in winter and summer. May be required to handle hazardous substances such as, but not limited to solvents. Must be a US Citizen.
