Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to join our sign manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting and refinishing by performing surface preparation, masking, sanding, and applying primer. Your expertise will ensure that each sign receives a flawless finish, contributing to our reputation for quality auto body repair and restoration. Duties Perform thorough surface preparation including sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as grinders and sanders to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Follow safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection and proper handling of paints and chemicals to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Prior body shop experience is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with sanding and surface prep techniques. Skilled in using conventional spraying systems, spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and buffing equipment is a plus. Knowledge of automotive paints, coatings, surface masking, sanding methods, and auto painting procedures is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
