Holland Fiberglass & Restoration is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle surfaces to achieve high-quality, durable results. This role includes working with metal and fiberglass components and requires attention to detail, proper surface preparation, and safe handling of materials and equipment. Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation - Prepare the vehicle by sanding, filling masking, and priming. Prepare fiberglass components with appropriate techniques to ensure adhesion and prevent delamination. Inspect surfaces before painting to ensure smoothness and readiness. Mixing and Color Matching - Mix and match paint colors to achieve requried finishes, use computerized color-matching systems when available. Adjust paint formulas as needed to account for surface texture and material differences. Paint Application - Apply paint using spray guns and related equipment. Ensure even, consistent covergae on metal and fiberglass surfaces. Finishing Touches - Apply clear coats to provide protection and desired gloss levels. Inspect completed work for color accuracy, coverage, and finish quality. Perform touch-ups as needed to meet specifications. Equipment Maintenance - Clean and maintain spray guns, paint equipment, and work areas. Follow proper procedures to prevent cross-contamination between materials. Safety Compliance - Follow all safety guidelines when handling paints, solvents, and equipment. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with safety procedures related to fiberglass dust and materials. Qualifications Experience in automotive painting or related finishing work. Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with fiberglass and metal substrates preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
