We are currently seeking a dedicated Preparation Technician to support our expanding powder coating facility in Tampa. Primary Duties Clean, sand, and secure components onto racks to ensure they are ready for the coating process. Utilize power equipment and chemical agents with a focus on precision and workplace safety. Manage physically demanding duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling heavy items, and working in diverse outdoor weather conditions. Support the lead painter by handling product loading and unloading, as well as operating a forklift to improve overall workflow efficiency. Conduct regular production area inspections to help identify potential operational improvements or maintenance needs. Adhere strictly to industrial safety standards to promote a secure environment for the entire team. Maintain professional communication standards when interacting with clients and colleagues. Monitor and record your daily task progress through our digital time-tracking application. Qualifications At least one year of professional experience in an outdoor industrial setting is mandatory. Background knowledge within the coatings sector is considered an asset. Physical capability to handle strenuous labor and work comfortably in changing climate conditions.
