Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Auto Painter Helper, where your energy and enthusiasm will contribute to transforming vehicles into works of art! In this role, you will assist skilled auto painters in preparing and finishing vehicles with precision and care. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help ensure every vehicle receives top-quality surface preparation, painting, and finishing. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in auto body repair, painting techniques, and automotive surface refinishing while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Assist auto painters with surface preparation including sanding, masking, and cleaning vehicle surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paints, coatings, and spray finishes using conventional spray guns and airless paint spraying equipment. Prepare vehicles for painting by handling masking tape, paper, and other surface protection materials accurately. Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely and effectively to achieve smooth surfaces. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste materials properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed—especially respiratory protection measures. Wash, clean, and detail vehicles before customer delivery Buff and polish repaired/refinished panels as needed to remove minor imperfections and achieve a clean, professional finish. Qualifications Previous dealership or automotive body shop experience is a must. Basic mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with hand tools and power tools. Experience with automotive buffing, sanding, grinding, and detailing techniques. Knowledge of automotive surface preparation including masking, sanding, and priming. Ability to operate spray guns for painting and coating applications confidently. Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent customer service skills.
