PAINTER

POSITION SUMMARY

Structural Steel Painter at Steelworks consists of loading and unloading the bucks in the paint booth. The painter will then prep the steel and remove all debris per the required application and apply the paint per the specs listed on the drawings. It is also the Painters responsibility to visually look for missed welds and or welds with poor quality. Then after the paint has been applied the painter must then use a wet paint mill gage and verify the proper amount of paint has been applied.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior five (3) years Structural Steel Painting experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to operate multiple forklift types - Sit down, Combi-Lift Ability to read and interpret a tape measure Able to identify various types and sizes of materials Able to listen and prioritize several projects at once Must be proficient with an overhead crane

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Team Player with solid communication skills. Ability to read and interpret mill thickness gage Observe company safety policy while working

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials. Work extensive hours in a semi and non-climate environment.
