Position Summary We are seeking skilled Aircraft Preppers to support aircraft paint operations by performing surface preparation prior to primer and topcoat application. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality paint finishes and compliance with aviation standards. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in aircraft prep, painting support, or industrial coating environments. Key Responsibilities Wash, clean, and chemically strip aircraft surfaces as required Perform sanding, scuffing, filling, and surface conditioning on metal and composite structures Mask aircraft components, windows, antennas, and sensitive areas per work instructions Apply sealants and corrosion protection materials as required Identify surface defects and assist with repairs prior to paint application Support painters during primer and topcoat preparation Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Follow all FAA, OSHA, and company safety procedures Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials Required Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of aircraft prep or paint-related experience (aviation preferred) Experience with sanding, masking, stripping, and surface prep techniques Ability to work on lifts, scaffolding, and stands Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an aircraft paint hangar or MRO Knowledge of corrosion control and aircraft coatings Familiarity with composite and aluminum surface preparation Respirator qualified or able to qualify Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in paint booth and hangar environments What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities Stable work with long-term potential Opportunity to work on large commercial and military aircraft Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated without explicit consent of JSfirm, LLC.
