The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial painting and coatings, with a strong background working with fiberglass surfaces and fiberglass repairs/preparation. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, and can work safely and efficiently in an industrial environment. Responsibilities Perform industrial painting and coating applications on various surfaces and equipment Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and other preparation methods Prepare and work with fiberglass surfaces, including fiberglass repair, patching, sanding, and finishing Apply primers, paints, protective coatings, and other industrial coating systems Mix and apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications Inspect completed work for proper coverage, finish, and quality Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements Properly use and maintain painting equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment Work effectively as part of a crew while also being able to work independently Follow instructions from Foremen and Project Management Qualifications Previous industrial painting experience required Fiberglass experience strongly preferred Experience with surface preparation and industrial coating applications Ability to work safely with paints, coatings, solvents, and other job-site materials Ability to operate and maintain painting equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in various environments and job-site conditions Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies Ability to work as part of a team Preferred Experience Fiberglass repair and finishing Industrial coatings Protective coatings Spray application Sandblasting or surface preparation Experience working on industrial or commercial job sites What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for overtime Steady work opportunities Safety-focused work environment Opportunity for advancement
