INDUSTRIAL STEEL PAINTER

Entry Level | Willing to Train Build It. Learn It. Take Pride in It. Looking for an opportunity to learn a skilled trade and build a career in manufacturing? Southeast Steel Systems is willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Industrial Steel Painter to join our production team. This is an entry level position , and previous industrial painting experience is not required . If you are reliable, safety focused, comfortable working with your hands, and willing to learn, we can teach you the technical skills needed to succeed.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND DO

• Prepare steel and metal surfaces for painting and coating
• Clean, sand, grind, and prepare materials for finishing
• Learn to properly mix and apply primers, paints, and protective coatings
• Learn to operate industrial spray painting equipment and other painting tools
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary touch ups
• Safely handle paints, coatings, solvents, and related materials
• Maintain painting equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
• Work alongside experienced team members to meet production and quality goals
• Follow company safety procedures and required PPE standards

• Is willing to learn new equipment, processes, and techniques Previous experience in painting, construction, manufacturing, automotive work, warehouse operations, fabrication, or another hands on environment is helpful, but not required .

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an active manufacturing position that requires standing and moving throughout the workday, bending, reaching, stooping, and performing repetitive tasks. Employees must be able to safely lift and move materials and equipment associated with the position and work in a manufacturing environment where noise, dust, temperatures, and other industrial conditions may vary.
