Passenger Car Painter perform the inspection, repair and maintenance of interior and exterior components on passenger cars.
Accountabilities Assist in the planning of future passenger car builds or other projects
Operate and maintain a handheld Zebra device
Perform scheduled and on-demand repairs Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, wallpapering
Repair internal and external components of passenger car equipment. This may include painting, sanding, Bondo, staining, wallpapering
Conduct inspections of passenger car equipment for defects, evidence of wear, and damages
Safely and effectively operate non-power tools or hand tools; power tools; as well as other shop machines, tools, vehicles and equipment Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and / or contractors and effectively handle conflict situations
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications - Required Basic keyboarding skills
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Able to effectively and accurately understand, interpret, reference, evaluate, organize and record non-technical and technical information
Experience reading and understanding instructions (examples may include: operating and safety rules, special instructions, and federal regulatory documents) Qualifications - Preferred
Physical and Mental Job Requirements Safely walk and maintain balance on uneven surfaces
Must have the capacity to engage in physically demanding tasks, including occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling
Work Conditions Scheduled work hours are 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
