Job Description

Hours:
5:00am - 3:00pm, Monday through Thursday (overtime hours as needed)
Job Summary:
A Painter is responsible for applying powder coat with precision and consistency in accordance with company and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains paint guns, spray equipment, reclaim equipment, and other tools in the booth according to the manufacturer instructions and company procedures Applies powder coating to metal parts with precision, ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards Monitors the temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors in the paint booth to ensure optimal painting conditions Ensures proper preparation of parts before painting, including masking, cleaning, and inspecting for defects Perform powder coat color changes as necessary, according to daily production plan Refilling the powder coat hopper when necessary Maintain the cleanliness of the paint booth and immediate working area Conducts quality checks after painting to ensure surfaces are smooth, uniform, and meet internal and external customer specifications Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to maintain workflow and minimize downtime Additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Great work ethic and attendance Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliable transportation Demonstrated ability to work independently, unsupervised, or in a team environment Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility and adaptability - maybe remove this, seems ambiguous and unnecessary Continuous improvement mindset Ability to use various computer systems Ability to lift 50lbs Willingness to stand for up to ten hours daily, throughout the shift Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures Willingness to wear PPE and work in a factory environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, odor, and fumes Flexibility to work various shifts based on production needs High school diploma or GED required
