Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Paint Preparation position is an integral role in the trailer building process. This position prepares trailers for their custom, one of a kind, paint jobs and works within the paint shop to resolve various needs throughout the paint process. The ideal candidate for this position is reliable, committed and enjoys working with others.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Perform paint preparation tasks such as taping, caulking, sanding and other steps to applicable areas of the trailers. Operate general hand tools. Assist in touch-up on trailers. Follow direction from leaders in the shop. Maintain production schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner, while striving for zero defects. Ensures all trailers and onsite machinery are washed according to company standards. Follow work orders precisely. Display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of company employees. Adhere to company policies, rules and promote safety standards. Wash trailers for prep and delivery. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Education:

Apply and remove tape, and use various hand tools. Use logic to problem solve and come to a reasonable solution. Multitask, manage time and work in a fast pace environment. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Self-motived and exhibits a strong work ethic. High school diploma or equivalent degree.
