Job Description

Job Title:
Paint Prep Technician Job Description The Paint Prep Technician will work in the paint area performing touch-ups without the need for a respirator. The role involves sanding and deburring parts using files, wire brushes, hand grinders, or power tools. You will work with small parts, preparing anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 parts each shift. Responsibilities Perform touch-ups on painted parts. Sand and deburr parts using files, wire brushes, hand grinders, or power tools. Work with small parts, preparing 1,500-3,000 parts per shift. Ensure high-quality standards and attention to detail in all tasks. Meet production deadlines, quotas, and goals. Essential Skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and focus, with good vision. High initiative and sense of urgency. Past experience in paint and paint prep or powder coating. Experience in a manufacturing or production setting. Ability to meet production metrics in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior manufacturing experience is a huge plus. Experience with spray gun, industrial painting, detailing. Comfortable working around chemicals (paint, acetone, isopropyl) and wearing a respirator or mask occasionally. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
