Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $46,995.58 - $120,000.00 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, auto painting, and vehicle restoration, with the ability to perform high-quality paint applications and finishing work. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and excellent customer service skills to ensure vehicles are restored to the highest standards and customer satisfaction is achieved. Duties Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces using hand tools and power tools Apply paint using air paint spraying equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes Perform buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless appearance Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and minor structural repairs Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and addressing client concerns effectively Experience Dealership experience or background in auto body repair highly preferred Proficiency in auto painting, buffing, and detailing techniques Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and auto estimating software Prior experience working with auto body repair or auto restoration projects is advantageous Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and the use of various tools for repairs and finishing touches This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical skills are valued.
