1st Shift | Full-Time Position Overview Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a well-established manufacturing company in the La Grange Park area. This position is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing fabricated metal components and industrial equipment while maintaining high quality standards and following all safety procedures. The ideal candidate has previous experience with industrial spray painting, surface preparation, and maintaining painting equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Prepare metal surfaces by sanding, grinding, cleaning, masking, and priming prior to painting. Apply industrial primers and finish coats using conventional or air-assisted spray equipment. Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. Inspect finished products for proper coverage, appearance, and quality standards. Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed. Clean and maintain spray guns, paint hoses, booths, and related equipment. Complete routine preventative maintenance on painting equipment to ensure optimal performance. Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and specifications. Safely move materials and completed products throughout the production process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications Previous experience as an Industrial Painter, Spray Painter, or Powder Coater in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating industrial spray painting equipment. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding, masking, grinding, and cleaning. Ability to identify paint defects and perform quality touch-ups. Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience painting fabricated steel, industrial machinery, or heavy equipment. Powder coating experience. Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes.
