In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles that have undergone body repairs, ensuring a flawless and durable surface. Your expertise will help restore vehicles to their original condition, providing exceptional results that exceed customer expectations. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and specialized coatings using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers. Perform surface repairs including dent removal, filling, and sanding to achieve a smooth finish before painting. Use automotive buffing techniques to enhance the final appearance and ensure a polished look. Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely and efficiently. Conduct auto body refinishing tasks including auto restoration, detailing, and auto glass replacement as needed. Follow safety protocols by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and handling paints and chemicals responsibly. Experience Must have at least 5 years experience. Proven experience working as a Body Shop Painter or in automotive refinishing within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of automotive surface preparation, painting techniques, and coating application processes. Familiarity with welding, auto body repair, and mechanical knowledge is highly advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and spray guns for auto painting and surface finishing. Experience with auto estimating, customer service interactions, and auto maintenance procedures is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
