New Orleans, LA SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Industrial Painter with proven experience preparing, coating, and finishing industrial equipment, structures, and components to meet high‑quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints/specifications, preparing surfaces (sanding, cleaning, priming), selecting and mixing appropriate industrial-grade paints and coatings, and applying finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Several years of industrial painting experience in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments Applying primer, undercoats, and topcoats per job specifications Using and maintaining painting equipment Following manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations Complete understanding of all types of paint used Understand job specific cleaning profiles Ability to operate paint equipment and hand tools safely and in the proper manner Understand the cleanup process of paints and equipment Successfully completed Sherwin Williams class in paint Able to paint material in manner outlined in job specification Knowledge of wet film gauge and DFT gauge Knowledge of mil thickness Be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately Be able to operate an overhead crane Be able to lift 60# Be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day Be available to work all regular and over-time hours required Pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical lift test Show up ready to work each day scheduled Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standards
