What You Will Do in

This Role:

Maintain work area, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment while painting surfaces and using appropriate methods to include automotive grade finishes Scrape, sandpaper, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting, set-up and operate machines to paint or coat products. Clean and maintain coating and painting machines and measure thickness and quality of coating, using micrometer Examine and test solutions, paints, products, and work pieces to ensure specifications are met while Operating auxiliary machines or equipment used in the coating or painting process. Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings or paints and adds to machine Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Ability to perform basic and more complicated mathematic fundamentals•add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Able to compute rates, ratios and percentages to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to wear proper PPE, including respirator and paint suit Ability to solve practical problems and offer innovative solutions to unique problems as well as interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications What will put you ahead: Familiarity operating forklift, overhead crane and rigging, painting equipment including paint gun, basic hand tools, sanders and pneumatic tools Stable work history Minimum one-year of experience as a skilled painter What we can offer you: Competitive pay 401(k) with matching Full insurance benefits Holiday, PTO, and Parental Leave Casual dress attire Family-owned company where you're more than just another employee
