BLASTER/PAINTER

Job Summary:

The blaster/painter will blast the surface to clean and prep before painting.

Job Duties:

Operate and maintain specialized machinery for industrial painting and sand blasting Work with Foreman to ensure correct material is being processed Painter will typically work as part of a team Painter must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with team member The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Qualifications:

Knowledge of sandblasting and painting Must be medically cleared to be able to wear respiratory protection Must follow safety rules, regulations, and safe job procedures Dependable Good time-management skills Must follow safety rules, regulations, and safe job procedures

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts consistent with a fabrication shop environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to changing weather conditions and working at moderate heights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently perform heavy lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
