Job Description

Experienced Automotive Detailer — Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings Good Vibes Garage |
Louisville, Kentucky Pay:
$18-$30 per hour The Good Vibes Garage is looking for an experienced automotive detailer who takes genuine pride in the craft. This is not an entry-level car-washing position. We are looking for someone who notices what others overlook—the person who cares about the final 5% because they understand that is what separates good work from exceptional work. The Good Vibes Garage is a premium detailing studio trusted with luxury, specialty, and enthusiast-owned vehicles. We hold ourselves to an extremely high standard and want someone who genuinely shares our commitment to precision, consistency, and continuous improvement. Who We're Looking For The right person does more than detail vehicles—they genuinely love the craft. You enjoy learning about products, tools, techniques, paint systems, and finishes. You understand that paint correction involves much more than simply running a polisher over a vehicle. You recognize how lighting, paint condition, pad selection, product choice, temperature, and technique affect the finished result. Most importantly, you take ownership of your work. You don't need someone watching over you to care about quality. Your personal standards remain the same whether someone is inspecting your work or not. What You'll Do Perform premium interior and exterior detailing services Complete paint decontamination, polishing, and paint correction Prepare vehicles properly for ceramic-coating installation Install professional ceramic coatings according to exact standards Safely work with luxury, specialty, and enthusiast-owned vehicles Inspect completed vehicles and correct anything that does not meet our standards Protect delicate materials, finishes, trim, and specialty components Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment Follow established processes while continuing to improve your skills Communicate professionally with clients and team members when needed What We Expect Professional automotive detailing experience Paint-correction and machine-polishing experience Ceramic-coating experience preferred Strong understanding of detailing chemicals, tools, pads, and machines Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Dependability, organization, and accountability Respect for clients' vehicles, equipment, and fellow team members A valid driver's license and good driving record Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work around vehicles throughout the day Experience working with luxury, exotic, specialty, or enthusiast vehicles is strongly preferred. Why The Good Vibes Garage? Work on premium vehicles and meaningful projects Professional products, equipment, lighting, and working conditions A shop that respects detailing as a skilled craft High standards shared across the entire team Opportunities to improve your correction and coating abilities Long-term stability for someone who becomes an important part of the company Compensation that recognizes experience, quality, and performance A team that takes pride in producing exceptional results We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term home—not someone searching for a temporary job. If you want the easiest detailing position available, this probably won't be the right environment. If you care deeply about your work, want your abilities to be respected, and believe exceptional results come from discipline and pride, we would like to meet you. How to Apply Please submit your résumé and briefly answer the following: How many years of professional detailing experience do you have? What experience do you have with paint correction and ceramic coatings? Which part of automotive detailing do you consider your strongest skill? What does an exceptional finished vehicle look like to you? Please include photographs, a portfolio, or links showing examples of your work, if available.
