Full Job Description Summary:

Responsible for painting pvc building products and maintaining hand spray painting equipment by performing the following essential duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Tending to equipment that cleans and sprays pvc parts.
• Mix paint of specified color and viscosity by using # 3 zahn cup.
• Adjusts controls of the pressure pot for specified application.
• Change paint color to meet requirements.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and make adjustments as necessary.
• Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products.
• Record operational data on job orders.
• Fill reservoirs or pans with appropriate material used in the painting process.
• Assist in recording operational data on job orders.
• Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
• Check the wet film thickness to ensure that equipment is set up properly.
• Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches, and make adjustments to obtain the proper dispersion of spray.
• Hold or position spray guns to direct spray onto parts.
• Move and load hazardous wastes under direction of supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

Candidate must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs occasionally, as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling and climbing ladders. Safety /

Must complete training as specified by the Company. Safety glasses and hearing protection must be worn at all times in all manufacturing, production, and factory areas. A respirator must be worn when performing certain job functions. Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), hand painting and industrial coding experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
