Cape Ann Auto Body has been in business since 1955 and due to growth is recruiting for a full-time Automotive Painter. CAAB is known for high-quality work and excellent customer service. Supporting the whole of Cape Ann and the North Shore, we are a 100% drug and alcohol-free workplace. This role is for an experienced professional with at least 4 years of paint experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with and comfort continuing to use BASF paints, delivering high-quality work and customer satisfaction. Our shop is well maintained and comfortable to work in year-round. You will join a team of experienced repair technicians, mechanics, and support staff to complete any aspect of needed repairs. We see all makes and models of vehicles including the latest from Honda, Toyota, Ford, GMC, Subaru, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Volkswagen, and more. Candidates should be able to handle all aspects of auto painting and have own spray guns. Job includes but is not limited to: Complete paint jobs of all skill levels including single-stage and multi-stage processes. Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and customer specifications. Maintain paint inventory system and help maintain paint booths. Mix and match colors using our color-matching system with strong color-matching and blending ability with a consistent, factory-quality finish. Experience with commercial vehicles (trucks & vans) is a plus. An ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting production environment with multiple spray booths. Coordinate with production manager, prepper, and body technicians to keep vehicles moving through the paint department. Prep work for paint including buff, sand, and prime when needed. Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure optimal performance. Inspect finished work for quality, color match, and consistency Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Have own spray guns. Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Must be available to work Monday through Thurs 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Friday 7:30am to 5pm. Our workflow is steady, our pay is guaranteed, and we have an immediate opening for the right person.
