Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all surfaces are prepared meticulously, painted flawlessly, and finished to the highest standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to determine project scope and specifications. Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and construction spray painting techniques. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation, coating application, and fixture installation. Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and industrial coating applications on different surfaces. Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations by using respiratory protection, harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding, and following all safety protocols on-site. Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise application of coatings and finishes. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met during all phases of the painting process. Assist in renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or framing when needed. Manage surface preparation for construction sites including removal of old paint or wallpaper and ensuring surfaces are ready for new coatings. Skills Extensive knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects and material requirements. Strong understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison. Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and restoration projects. Proficiency with ladder use, scaffolding safety procedures, and working at heights safely. Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, scrapers), power tools (drills, sanders), paint sprayers (airless spray guns), and conventional spray equipment. Expertise in surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, sanding, priming, and surface cleaning. Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics or blueprints for precise project execution. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection protocols. Familiarity with blueprint reading for project planning and execution purposes. Experience with various coating types such as stucco finishes or masonry coatings; knowledge of industrial painting processes is a plus. Basic math skills for measuring areas accurately and mixing paints or coatings properly.
