Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert surface preparation and application of high-quality coatings. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall finishing, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paint and coatings Execute painting tasks using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spray methods), ensuring smooth, even coverage Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately match colors and finishes according to project requirements and color theory principles Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas while adhering strictly to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols Apply coatings on structural elements such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishes, and industrial surfaces with precision and consistency Conduct surface inspections to ensure quality standards are met; perform touch-ups or corrections as needed for a flawless finish Assist in construction estimating by assessing material needs and project scope for efficient planning and resource management Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, fixture installations, maintenance tasks, and renovation efforts to ensure seamless project execution Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in compliance with safety guidelines Skills Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and construction site work Proficiency with various painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and surface preparation methods Strong knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison skills Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications accurately for precise application of finishes Skilled in using hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, brushes; power tools including sanders, grinders; and equipment like paint sprayers and scaffolding safely Familiarity with construction estimating processes related to material quantities and project timelines Understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting environments; committed to following safety protocol adherence including respiratory protection measures Experience with drywall installation/finishing, caulking techniques, stucco application, masonry work, plastering, concrete finishing, fixture installation, restoration projects, handyman tasks, remodeling projects, maintenance work Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during surface preparation or estimating tasks Join us if you're passionate about transforming spaces with your expert craftsmanship!
