Job:
Messersmith Manufacturing Inc. is a leader in the biomass boiler system industry. At our facility in Bark River, MI, we design and manufacture biomass boiler systems to serve customers in the education, healthcare, government, forest products, greenhouse, and industrial sectors. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Painter to work out of our office in Bark River, MI. This is a full-time day shift position.     Job Description:
    • Apply primer and paint to manufactured industrial parts using a sprayed-on primer & industrial paint coating
    • Clean, buff & prep fabricated parts in preparation for paint
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
    • Keep all paints, cleaners, and paint accessories in stock at all times. Re-order as necessary.
    • Ensure parts are painted in required time frame.
    • Quality control of components prior to and after paint and at final assembly
    • Final assembly of both manufactured and purchased parts and equipment
    • Properly tag and wrap finished products in preparation for shipping
    • Load transport carriers with finished products
    • Operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes and other heavy machinery
    • Operate equipment safely, wear personal protective equipment, and use safe work habits
    • Cooperate and communicate with co-workers and supervisors
    • Other duties as assigned
