  • Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and proud of crafting a high-quality finished product?
We're looking for a Paint Prep Technician to prepare steel components before they go to our paint line. You will be the crucial link between fabrication and finishing—ensuring every cabinet and workstation meets our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
    Surface Preparation:
    Inspect, clean, and degrease metal parts prior to prep.
      Body Work & Detail:
      Use body fillers (like Bondo) to smooth out minor dents, seams, or surface flaws.
        Precision Sanding:
        Operate power tools and hand-sand components to achieve an ultra-smooth finish ready for paint.
          Quality Control:
          Perform visual and tactile checks on prepped surfaces so only flawless work reaches the paint booth.
            Safety First:
            Work safely using proper gear (PPE) and keep your workstation organized.
            Skills:
              Experience:
              Background in auto body repair, metal finishing, sanding, surface prep, or manufacturing is preferred (we are willing to train candidates with the right drive!).
                Detail-Oriented:
                A sharp eye and keen touch for catching surface imperfections.
                  Work Ethic:
                  Reliable attendance, self-motivation, and a helpful, team-first attitude.
                    Education:
                    High School Diploma or equivalent.
                    Schedule:
                    1st Shift Mon-Fri 6:00a-3:30p $18.00-$20:00 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 2:30p-12:00a $18.50-$20.50
                    Pay:
                    $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
                    Experience:
                    Auto body repair: 1 year (Preferred) Metal finishing: 1 year (Preferred) Surface prep: 1 year (Preferred)
                    Sanding:
                    1 year (Preferred)
