Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to work exclusively on heavy-duty trucks and buses —no passenger vehicles. This role is responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting commercial vehicles to a high-quality, professional standard.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in industrial or heavy-duty vehicle painting , with strong attention to detail and color accuracy. Key Responsibilities Prepare truck and bus surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning Mix and match paints to achieve accurate color consistency and finish quality Apply coatings using spray guns and other professional painting equipment Perform full vehicle repaints, panel refinishing, and touch-ups Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish free of defects Maintain and clean painting tools, spray booths, and related equipment Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and environmental regulations Work efficiently to meet production timelines while maintaining quality standards Collaborate with body repair technicians to ensure seamless repair and finishing Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy-duty or commercial vehicle painting Proven expertise in automotive or industrial refinishing techniques Strong knowledge of paint systems, materials, and application methods Experience using spray booths, HVLP spray guns, and paint mixing systems Ability to identify and correct paint defects (runs, orange peel, etc.) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with fleet, transit bus, or commercial truck painting Familiarity with EPA and environmental compliance related to coatings Certifications (I-CAR Refinishing, ASE, or equivalent) are a plus Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Opportunities for advancement Stable workload in a growing industry Why Join Us?
