Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously through sanding, scraping, caulking, masonry work, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint using a variety of methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray systems), and construction spray painting techniques. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute renovation, remodeling, or new construction projects. Utilize hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and fixtures installation equipment safely and efficiently across diverse job sites. Conduct surface testing such as visual color comparison and coating thickness measurements to achieve precise color matching and finish quality. Follow all safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocol guidelines on construction sites. Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces like stucco, masonry, or industrial materials while maintaining high standards of quality control. Assist with estimating project costs related to materials and labor for construction estimating purposes when needed. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining a safe work environment. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, or construction site environments. Strong knowledge of construction surface preparation techniques including caulking, masonry repairs, and remodeling processes. Familiarity with color theory principles for accurate color matching and visual consistency. Ability to operate a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (airless and conventional), power tools, and scaffolding equipment safely. Experience interpreting technical drawings or blueprints for precise application of coatings or finishes. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and fall prevention measures. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material quantities efficiently. Handyman experience or skills in fixture installation can be an added advantage. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions clearly.
