This is not an entry-level painting position . We are looking for someone with hands-on industrial spray-painting experience who can prepare, mix, apply, and inspect coatings on manufactured components and assemblies. Our work includes automotive, defense and military components and assemblies , including parts requiring CARC coatings and customer-specific paint requirements . Responsibilities Prepare metal parts and assemblies for painting Apply primers, topcoats, CARC and other industrial coatings Properly mix, reduce and prepare coatings according to manufacturer and customer specifications Operate spray guns and related paint equipment Mask, clean, sand and prep components as required Apply coatings evenly while maintaining proper coverage and finish Inspect completed work for runs, sags, defects, coverage and overall finish quality Verify coating thickness when required Follow customer specifications, work instructions and paint requirements Maintain paint guns, spray equipment and paint-booth work areas Properly handle and store paints, solvents and related materials Follow all company safety, environmental and quality procedures Complete required production and quality documentation Required Qualifications Previous industrial painting experience is required Experience spray painting manufactured metal parts, components or assemblies Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing, reduction and application Experience with primers and industrial topcoats Strong attention to detail and finish quality Ability to follow written work instructions and customer specifications Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment Dependable attendance and work history Preferred Experience CARC coating experience Military or defense manufacturing painting Automotive manufacturing or prototype painting Experience working from customer paint specifications Wet-film/dry-film thickness measurement Experience with epoxy, urethane and other industrial coating systems Familiarity with proper masking and surface-preparation techniques What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Full-time, 1st-shift position Overtime opportunities Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Paid holidays 401(k) Stable manufacturing environment Opportunity to work on automotive and defense manufacturing programs
