Job Description

Superior Industries is seeking a Paint Technician. Your role will be pivotal in prepping surfaces for painting, maintaining top-notch quality, and upholding a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare Metal for
Painting:
Sand spatter and rust, wipe down steel to remove oil and cutting fluids, and verify the removal of spatter and slag.
Mix and Apply Paint:
Properly mix paint, set and adjust paint equipment, and apply paint to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies using correct procedures.
Maintenance and Quality Control:
Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment, inspect paint jobs for quality issues such as runs and missed areas, and conduct quality checks including visual and electronic mill testing.
Organize and Coordinate:
Identify and mask areas not to be painted, clean paint booth and lights, change filters, and maintain the paint trailer. Coordinate the flow of work and complete necessary paperwork.
Support and Cleanliness:
Assist in keeping all paint areas clean and organized, ensuring a tidy and efficient workspace. Perform other duties as assigned. Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $19 - $24 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location. Day Shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday Benefits Weekly paycheck Annual boot reimbursements up to $125 Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance Paid time off and holidays 401K retirement account with 5% company match On the spot bonuses up to $100
Qualifications Painting Proficiency:
Ability to perform painting functions according to our standards.
Paint Application:
knowledge in mixing and applying various types of paint.
