The primary purpose of this position is to prepare, repair, finish and/or refinish building equipment surfaces (wood, plaster, drywall, wall covering, steel, concrete, brick, etc) by recognized procedures and techniques of the painting trade. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Knowledge of standard procedures and practices of painting at the journeyman level. Examples are, but not confined to: Surface preparation techniquest and cleaning materials use; Painting and staining (brush, roller, spray) application techniques for all types of materials familiar to the painting trade; Wall covering lay out and application techniques; Skill in mixing paints and in matching or blending colors; Knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in the painting trade; Ability to maintain effective working relations with other employees.
