We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing and applying powder coatings to skid steer attachments, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in powder coating processes, a keen eye for quality control, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including powder guns, booths, and curing ovens. Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to achieve the desired finish, texture, and color. Ensure proper adhesion and coverage, minimizing defects such as drips, sags, or uneven coatings. Inspect coated skid steer attachments for imperfections, including bubbles, runs, or overspray. Make necessary adjustments to the powder coating equipment to maintain quality standards. Touch up and rework coatings as required to meet quality specifications. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals. Clean and maintain the powder coating booth and surrounding work areas. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors. Maintain accurate records of powder coating processes, including batch records, inspection reports, and material usage. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in powder coating is a plus. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Proven experience in powder coating, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong knowledge of powder coating equipment, techniques, and materials. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy skid steer attachments for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental regulations.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing setting with exposure to industrial chemicals, powders, and high-temperature curing ovens. Requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
