Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure long-lasting protection of structures. The ideal candidate is energetic, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong eye for color and surface preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in construction painting. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools with precision and efficiency. Perform structural painting on various surfaces such as stucco, masonry, concrete, and metal structures, ensuring durability and quality standards are met. Conduct surface testing for color matching using visual comparison techniques and adjust coatings as needed to achieve desired results. Follow all safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents. Complete touch-ups, restoration work, and remodeling projects while ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. Assist with construction site tasks such as fixture installation, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, or basic handyman repairs when required. Experience Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with commercial and industrial painting including spray application methods like airless spray painting and construction spray painting. Skilled in using hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (sanders, drills), and spray equipment for various coating applications. Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to paint jobs is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications for precise project execution. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety regulations such as respiratory protection and proper handling of hazardous materials. Background in renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, masonry work, or restoration is advantageous. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating material quantities effectively.
