Job Description

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled Facilities Painter to join our Facilities Department. The Facilities Painter maintains and improves the appearance and protection of EAS facilities through professional surface preparation, repair, painting, and coating work. This position supports offices, manufacturing areas, exterior surfaces, and facility improvement projects across multiple EAS locations.

Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime, travel between EAS locations, and on-call work as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, masking, priming, patching, caulking, and repairing damaged areas. Repair drywall, wall surfaces, minor trim, and other substrates before applying finishes. Mix, match, and apply paints, primers, stains, sealants, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Paint offices, manufacturing areas, structural components, doors, walls, ceilings, floors, and exterior facility surfaces as assigned. Apply floor coatings, safety markings, equipment markings, and parking or traffic striping when assigned and properly trained. Estimate material quantities and communicate paint, equipment, access, and schedule needs before beginning work. Protect adjacent surfaces, production equipment, furniture, and occupied areas from dust, overspray, and damage. Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, ladders, lifts, storage areas, and material inventory in clean and serviceable condition. Coordinate work with facility leadership to minimize disruption and maintain safe access around active work areas. Dispose of materials and clean work areas in accordance with EAS safety and environmental requirements. Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies to achieve a professional and consistent finish. Support facility improvement, renovation, and special project work as assigned. Other duties may be added as needed by supervision.
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required. High School Diploma or GED required, or related experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or auto body painting as determined by department management. Two or more years of professional painting, coatings, drywall repair, or finish experience preferred.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Knowledge of surface preparation, paint selection, mixing, application, drying, and cleanup methods. Drywall, patching, caulking, repair, or auto body experience preferred. Experience with airless or conventional spray equipment preferred. Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, professional finishes. Good verbal communication, organization, and time management skills. Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, kneel, and work for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work in varying heat, cold, and noise and perform work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts. Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when applicable and medically approved.
