The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coating to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial painting processes, materials handling, and fabrication techniques. The Powder Coating Operator will play a vital part in maintaining efficient production workflows and delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing coated products. Duties Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed Operate powder coating equipment including spray booths, airless paint sprayers, and curing ovens Set up and adjust machinery for different production runs, ensuring proper parameters are maintained Handle materials using forklifts and pallet jacks to move components safely within the workspace Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish quality Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs with hand tools and power tools Follow safety protocols related to industrial painting, welding, machining, and materials handling Assist in fabrication or assembly tasks as required to support production needs Document production data accurately and report any issues to supervisors for prompt resolution Skills Experience with industrial painting techniques including auto painting and auto body repair Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes Knowledge of machining, materials handling, and the use of precision measuring instruments Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely in a manufacturing environment Basic math skills for measurements and process calculations Experience with construction or industrial painting is a plus Ability to work with various assembly processes and use of hand tools for fabrication tasks Previous experience in manufacturing settings such as warehouse environments is advantageous This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in industrial painting, fabrication, or manufacturing to advance their skills within a dynamic team environment.
