00 per hour Permanent Various Shifts Available Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_180425 Spherion Staffing is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter specializing in liquid spray applications to join a local FArgo production team. You will prepare surfaces, mix industrial coatings, and operate conventional and airless spray systems to deliver high-quality, durable finishes on structural steel, machinery, and industrial components. The hours are 6am-4:30pm M-Th (1st shift) and 4pm-2:30am M-Th (2nd shift) OT as required on Friday's during busy season and potentially occasional Saturday's if business needs demand

Pay:

$25-31/hour, a $2/hr shift differential is offered for nights.

Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation:

  Clean, sand, mask, and prep metal surfaces using pressure washing, media blasting, or solvent wiping prior to coating.

• Paint & Mixing:

  Blend multi-component industrial coatings (epoxies, urethanes, enamels) to precise specifications and viscosity.

• Liquid Spray Application:

  Operate airless, air-assisted, and HVLP spray equipment to apply uniform coatings while minimizing runs, overspray, and defects.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  Clean, dismantle, and perform routine maintenance on spray guns, pumps, hoses, and paint booths. ...

• Quality Inspection:

  Measure wet/dry film thickness (DFT) using gauges and inspect surfaces for adherence, gloss, and finish standards.

•

Safety & Compliance:

Follow standard operating procedures, maintain ventilation systems, and strictly wear required PPE (respirators, suits).

High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of industrial or commercial liquid spray painting experience required.
• Must have hands-on experience with airless spray equipment.
• Ability to inspect film thickness, troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and wear a full-face respirator.
