Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. As a vital leader on our team, you will coordinate painting crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver exceptional finishes that meet client specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in construction and renovation painting while guiding others to achieve excellence on every project. Duties Lead and supervise painting crews, assigning tasks and ensuring timely project completion Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and surface repairs to meet industry standards Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes to execute precise paint applications Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying), and conventional spray techniques Manage surface preparation for construction site painting, including masonry, stucco, concrete finishing, and restoration projects Ensure adherence to safety regulations by enforcing safety protocol adherence and proper use of respiratory protection and personal protective equipment Coordinate with project managers to estimate materials needed and assist with construction estimating for painting scopes Perform quality control inspections using visual color comparison and technical standards to guarantee flawless results Skills Extensive experience in construction site painting with knowledge of residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation projects Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Strong understanding of color theory and visual color comparison techniques for consistent finishes Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment Knowledge of surface preparation techniques such as plastering, caulking, masonry work, stucco application, and fixture installation Ability to operate ladders safely and work at heights confidently during structural or trim carpentry tasks Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coatings or material quantities Experience with restoration projects involving masonry repair or concrete finishing is a plus Strong communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating effectively within teams Join us as a Lead Painter to elevate our projects with your expertise while leading a talented team dedicated to quality craftsmanship. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
