Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Woodwork Finisher to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to wooden products, ensuring they meet precise aesthetic and durability standards. Your expertise will help transform raw wood components into polished, professional-grade pieces that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of finishing techniques, utilize advanced tools, and contribute to the production of exceptional wooden products. Duties Prepare wood surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and surface preparation to ensure optimal finishing results Apply coatings using conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, or hand tools, ensuring even coverage and adherence to safety protocols Interpret production documents and specifications to match color, texture, and finish requirements accurately Maintain strict adherence to quality standards in production by inspecting finished surfaces for color consistency, smoothness, and defect-free appearance Handle materials safely using appropriate PPE including respirators, gloves, and eye protection in compliance with safety protocols Support fabrication processes by assisting with assembly, machining, or construction painting surface preparation as needed Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high-quality output Skills Strong knowledge of industrial painting techniques including powder coating, conventional spraying, auto body repair, auto painting, and construction painting surface preparation Proficiency with coating application equipment such as spray guns (painting and coating), airless paint sprayers, and hand tools Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documents accurately for color matching and finish specifications Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use (respirator masks, respiratory protection), respiratory protection measures, and general safety procedures in manufacturing environments Experience with visual color comparison techniques to ensure consistent finish quality across products Warehouse experience preferred for efficient materials movement within the production area Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to support continuous improvement efforts in finishing processes Join our team as a Woodwork Finisher if you are passionate about craftsmanship, committed to safety standards, and eager to contribute your skills toward creating beautifully finished wooden products.
