Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities Prepare metal parts and surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed using hand tools and power tools. Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, to apply even coats of powder paint. Set up and operate cranes, forklifts, or other materials handling equipment to move parts safely within the workspace. Inspect finished coatings for quality, ensuring proper thickness, adhesion, and finish using precision measuring instruments. Maintain a clean work area by following safety protocols and proper disposal of overspray or waste materials. Perform basic maintenance on coating equipment to ensure optimal operation and troubleshoot issues promptly. Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks when necessary to support production flow. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, auto body repair, or auto painting is highly desirable. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and fabrication techniques is beneficial. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy machinery within a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and reduce waste. Warehouse experience that includes materials handling and inventory management is a plus. Basic math skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
