Our Avon Service Center is the operational hub for all new boat preparation and service detailing. Every new boat is received, rigged, inspected, and fully prepared here before delivery to our retail locations or customers. We're seeking a dependable, hardworking Marine Detail Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys hands-on work. This role goes beyond basic washing. You'll be responsible for restoring, protecting, and refining boats so they leave our facility in showroom-ready condition. Whether your background is marine detailing, automotive detailing, paint correction, or restoration work, we're interested in your experience. Every boat that leaves Avon reflects our standard of quality. This role plays a key part in ensuring that standard is met every time. What You'll Do As a Marine Detail Technician , you'll prepare new boats for delivery, restore customer boats, and maintain the appearance of inventory throughout our service operations.

Responsibilities include:

Wash, dry, and detail new and pre-owned boats for customer delivery Perform interior and exterior cleaning after service work Clean carpets, upholstery, vinyl, compartments, and storage areas Polish stainless steel, clean glass, and apply protective treatments Inspect boats prior to delivery to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a clean, organized detail area and care for equipment Assist with boat movement, yard organization, and workflow support As your skills develop, you will be trained in advanced services including: Paint correction and oxidation removal Wet sanding and fiberglass restoration Pontoon acid washing and aluminum restoration Machine polishing and ceramic coating application Qualifications We're looking for someone who has: Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to produce consistent, high-quality work Ability to work independently and within a team Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all conditions Valid driver's license with clean driving record Willingness to work overtime during peak season Preferred Qualifications Automotive, marine, RV, powersports, or aircraft detailing Experience with polishers, buffers, and detailing equipment Paint correction, compounding, or oxidation removal Aluminum pontoon cleaning or acid washing Ceramic coating or paint protection application Forklift or boat handling experience (training available) Why Join Mark's Leisure Time Marine?
