Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Assistant to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting and a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Powder Coating Assistant, you may be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with various tools and equipment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary. Operate powder coating equipment, including airless paint spraying systems and curing ovens. Apply powder coatings evenly and efficiently to achieve desired finishes. Monitor the coating process to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as needed. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the coating process. Handle hanging materials safely using forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environment. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure specifications are met during the coating process. Qualifications Previous experience in industrial painting or powder coating is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or machining environments. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes is essential. Basic math skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately. Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a warehouse setting with an understanding of safety protocols.
