Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting machinery to produce precise metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, efficient production processes, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication equipment and contribute to the creation of high-precision parts for diverse applications. Duties Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration according to technical specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions to produce parts that meet exacting standards. Program CNC laser machines using specialized software, adjusting parameters for optimal performance and quality. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laser equipment to maintain peak operational efficiency. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Utilize hand tools, sheet metal fabrication techniques, and tooling to assist in assembly or secondary operations as needed. Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment to load raw materials and move finished products safely within the workspace. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, G-code, and machine setup procedures. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and interpreting technical drawings. Knowledge of welding, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and other fabrication tools is highly desirable. Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality inspection. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings. Physical ability to lift heavy materials using forklifts or cranes safely; familiarity with hand tools and sheet metal fabrication is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
